Discover how we have remade our Permanent Storage feature with modifications like plan-based storage limits, direct URL file access, and improved visibility.
The number of individuals using cloud storage solutions has doubled in the last 10 years, from 1.1 billion users in 2014 to an approximate of 2.3 billion users in 2025. Moreover, total cloud storage usage (enterprise and individuals), is expected to reach 200 zettabytes this year. This only reflects the needs of people to store their data and files in a secure place that they can access at anytime and anywhere. Taking this shocking facts into consideration, we have decided to step up our cloud storage game and make some changes to our existing 'Permanent Storage' feature. These are the changes we've made:
To ensure GDPR compliance, we have limited the access of this feature to the users on our paid plans (Starter, Professional, and Company) to ensure that our permanent storage solution is being used correctly.
Storage size has new limits. These limits depend on each plan.
Files can now be retrieved with a permanent URL. Before, users would have to use our 'Get Permanent File' endpoint to be able to retrieve their files from our permanent storage. Now, whenever users upload their files to 0CodeKit, the module will return a URL that has direct access to the specific file.
Credit costs for this feature have been modified. On one hand, the upload, listing, and deletion of files from the permanent storage are now free of charge. On the other hand, the download of files has now a cost of 1 credit per started 5 MB of the file's size, depending on the size of the file.
The uploaded files to the 0CodeKit permanent storage are now also displayed on the user's interface.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
