Have you ever encountered a URL that was shortened with services like Goo.gl, Bitly, or TinyUrl? If so, you probably know how difficult it can be to expand the URL and figure out where it leads. But did you know you can use an API to quickly and easily transform a shortened URL into an expanded one?
There are several methods for expanding a URL using an API. One of the most popular is to connect 0-CodeKit with Make.com or Zapier and use API to quickly expand the URL. This is great because it's inexpensive, fast, and easy to set up—essentially anyone can do it! Additionally, if you're using tools like N8N and Airtable that already have an API built in, then you can use those as well.
Once your automation platform is connected to the 0-CodeKit API, all you need to do is copy-and-paste the shortened URL into the designated field on the automation platform. Then simply hit enter, and the automated process will take care of transforming your short URL into a full one in no time at all!
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Expanding URLs using an API is a great way to save time and money when transforming short URLs into long ones. Plus, by connecting 0-CodeKit with Make.com or Zapier, as well as integrating it with your automation platform of choice (e.g., N8N or Airtable), expanding URLs becomes even easier—allowing you to focus more attention on other important tasks related to your business or website instead of worrying about manually expanding URLs each time they are encountered!
